Barrel insert K9 aka 9mm aka .38 cal - It simply inserts into the barrel and is then tightened by an expanding collet. The collet in the picture is anodized aluminum, but the current version is brass.
Works well for said calibers when it is impossible or inconvenient to mount your SCATT optical sensor on the barrel, gas cylinder or picatinny rail.
